It was a chronic gastritis associated with h pylori. I took HP kit antibiotics. for 1 week and retested H pylori, it was negative this time.. But now this dull ache is not at all leaving me. It looks like h pylori has done enough damage to my stomach mucous. Been dealing with chronic gastritis for 7 years. Iv'e seen 5 doctors. I've tried 10 different meds. I've had endoscopies, coloscopies, CT scan, had the ph in my stomach checked, had my esophagus checked to see it was working correcty, and I have had my digestion checked. Having to change my diet is an understatement. I've had chronic gastritis following H Pylori infection for about 10 months now. Mine doesn't sound as severe as yours, but it is constant. I have burning in my stomach and heartburn all day most days. If I eat things I shouldn't, I get nauseous and cramps sometimes. I've severely restricted my diet (no fat, no acid, no flavor).

When I got diagnosed with mild gastritis (but no H. Pylori) and esophagitis, I looked all over the internet to find what to do.
Then decided - partially inspired by this forum - to go on a very strict 10-12 week gastritis diet and heal naturally (low-fodmap, gf, plant-based, no fat, soft boiled etc) 4 weeks in and my status had improved - at least I could eat my “diet food” without drastic symptoms and started feeling better overall.
